Description: Brazilian Teak & Brazilian Chestnut are the same species. Brazilian Teak is a dense hard wood with a range of colors varying from a tan brown to a reddish brown with some pieces offering a black striping.
Color Change: Brazilian Teak ranges from medium to darker range selections. The medium tone is a tan brownish color while the darker tone exudes a reddish brown color. While always exhibiting color variation, the Brazilian Teak color range will slightly mute over time into a more uniform overall color.
Installations of interest: Chosen in part for its durability, Teak Hardwood was recently installed throughout the new de Young fine arts museum in Golden Gate park, San Francisco.
